Jackie A. Tibbetts, 69 of Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born July 19, 1943 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of the late John and Elsie Foy Murphy. She was a graduate of St. Mary Springs Academy. On August 14, 1971 she married Paul M. Tibbetts at St. Mary’s Church, Eden. Jackie worked as a legal secretary at Nuss Law Office, and then as a homemaker and bookkeeper for Paul’s business Lightning Repairs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walks through her woods. Jackie served on the Building Committee for the Campbellsport Elementary School. She was a proud Irish woman, enjoying all things Irish but the many hours spent with her grandsons to whom she was “Beam-Beam” was her most cherished time. Those left behind to cherish Jackie’s memory include her husband, Paul, her daughters Sara (Alan) Hathaway, Molly (Chuck) Gehrt and Katie Tibbetts and her grandsons Oscar, Henry and Eamon; her beloved Murphy and Tibbetts families and many dear friends. Jackie had a special group of cousins, Sharon Donovan, Mary Jo Birschbach, Mary Zwicker, Barb Reinhold, and Sandra Dixon (deceased) with whom she had monthly dinners and an annual trip to Door County that meant so much to her. Visitation will be Sunday, February 17th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, and on Monday, February 18th from 10:00 AM to noon at the Funeral Home with memorial service to follow at noon. Memorials may be made to the Eden Volunteer Firemen’s Association. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Luke’s Hospital for the care they gave Jackie. .
