Sister Mary Jo Forst, SSSF, “Sister Veronique”, 91, passed away Sunday June 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born in Chicago, IL on July 13, 1921 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Schlies Forst. Sister Mary Jo joined the School Sisters of St. Francis in June of 1939 and professed her vows in June of 1941. She served her community as a teacher, a LPN and an escort. Sister Mary Jo is survived by her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 74 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday. June 28, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Friday June 28th at St. Joseph Convent.
