Sister Mary Blanche Mara, SSSF, “Sister Egbert”, 104, passed away Wednesday Sept. 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on May 5, 1909 in Wauzeka, WI, the daughter of the late Peter George and Carrie (nee Peckata) Mara. Sister joined the School sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1934 and professed her vows on Aug. 19, 1936. Sister Marion served her community as a homemaker and aide at various community missions. Sister Mary Blanche is survived by her sister Maggie Dennell, her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 79 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Sept. 10th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday Sept. 10th at St. Joseph Convent.
