Dorothy "Dotty" A. Plotkin, age 70 passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Tuesday Sept. 24, 2013. She was born on January 7, 1943 the daughter of Ward and Alice Kennow Baty in Milwaukee, WI. She married Burton Plotkin on September 20, 1969 in Menomonee Falls. Over the years, she was a faithful and extraordinarily efficient worker, supporting many businesses, including the Public Library. Her insatiable passion for learning, witty humor and puns were contagious and fueled her generous love for teaching and inspiring everyone. For example, Dotty was active in the Jehovah Witness ministry and hand-made beautiful and encouraging cards for hundreds of shut-ins and grieving families in the community. She was appreciated and loved by all. Dotty is survived by her husband Burton, one son Perry of Chicago, IL and two step daughters: Nadine (John) Danzer of Milwaukee and Valerie Stoff of Phoenix, AZ and one sister Nana (Eugene) Vogel of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Gordon Baty. Per her request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat. Oct. 12, 2013 at 3PM at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 570 Marshall Street in Fond du Lac. Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is serving the family.
