Milton Louis Adelmeyer

Milton L. Adelmeyer, of Fond du Lac peacefully passed away at home at the age of 88 surrounded by his loved ones on Sat. Oct. 12, 2013. He was born on Jan. 4, 1925 in the town of LeRoy the son of the late Albert and Josephine Schaefer Adelmeyer. He was married to Catherine Ann Goebel on October 7, 1953. He worked as a machinist at Wells Mfg Corp. for 35 years and retired in 1987. Milt was a quiet and gentle man who was dedicated to his family and faith. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community & the Knights of Columbus. Dad was a life time, table-talking Sheepshead card player with the Hickory Road neighborhood. Milton is survived by his wife of 60 years Catherine Ann "Honey", children: Christine (Rob) Kowalski, Trish Colwin, JoAnn (Doug) Schmidt, Don (Randy) Adelmeyer, Janet (Angela) Adelmeyer; Grandchildren: Amy Wang, Alex & Caleb Kowalski, Katie Colwin, Emily (Andy) Domask, Charlie (Tram) Colwin, Lis (Jason) Colwin, Samantha & Nikk Golesh; Step-grandchildren: Alivia & Michael Schmidt, Briana & Dylan Margeson; Great-Grandchildren: Breanna, Chase & Natasha; Sister: Priscilla Halbur; Sisters-in-Law: Marion O'Brien, Sr. Josephine Goebel CSA, RoseMarie Goebel (Vic) Backhaus; Brother-in-Law Raymond Wirth; and many nieces & nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in Death by: Parents: Albert & Josephine; Brothers: Harvey & Marvin (Arlene); Father & Mother-in-Law: Henry & Kathryn Goebel; Brothers-in-Law: Greg Halbur, Bud, John, & Rev. Nicholas Goebel, John O'Brien; Sisters-in-Law: Margaret (Wilbur) Buell, Lorraine Wirth, Helen (Ted) Nadolny. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri. Oct. 18th, 2013 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac. Friends may call on Thurs. Oct. 17th from 4:00PM until 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home at 305 Fond du Lac Avenue Fond du Lac and at the church on Fri. from 9:00 until 10AM.
