Darlene C. Mowbray, 72 of Fond du Lac passed away on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born August 8, 1941 in Fond du Lac the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Groeschel )Leu. Darlene married J. Michael Mowbray on April 28, 1962 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church-St. Mary's in Fond du Lac. During her working years she was a LPN at St. Agnes Hospital and Associated Physicians Clinic. She enjoyed her family, hunting, fishing and especially her flower garden. She enjoyed swimming at the Aquatic Center with the "Deep End Bobbers" group of friends. Survivors include her husband: Michael of Fond du Lac, one daughter Michele Willey of Oshkosh, one son Tim(Jean) Mowbray of Fond du Lac, 5 grandchildren: Jennifer, Sarah, Matthew, Paul and Steven, and 7 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 4 sisters: Marlene(Stephan) Wirth, Carolyn (Clair) Barton, MaryAnn Leu all of Fond du Lac, Patricia (James) Hansel of Redgranite, two brothers: Thomas (Lois) Leu of Fond du Lac and James (Peggy) Leu of Kiel, brother-in-law Thomas Dobyns of Fond du Lac, and many nieces, nephews and other special friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Kathlene Dobyns and Susan Leu. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 2, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church -Sacred Heart 200 S. Peters Avenue Fond du Lac. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Cremation will take place following the service. Memorials appreciated to the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.
