Betty Marie Hoffman

Betty Marie Hoffman, 78, of North Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on November 4th at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (nee Mathews) Marquardt. Betty raised her children and worked in nursing with the elderly and hospice services. She enjoyed fishing, flowers, butterflies, traveling, playing cards at the senior center, and housesitting her children's pets. Betty was a voracious reader and enjoyed her iPhone, mini-iPad and playing Words With Friends (WWF). She also enjoyed going to the Madison Deer and Turkey Expo to help her son Christopher and his wife Marie. But most of all Betty loved the time she spent with family and friends. She was a member of the Wisconsin Lions and was past secretary/treasurer. Survivors include her husband Gordon; her children David (Colleen) Dickmann of Wisconsin Rapids; Christopher (Marie) Dickmann of Wautoma; Ellyn (Gary Lengyel) Dickmann of Whitewater; and Eric (Darlene) Dickmann of Stratford; her step-children Timothy (Tracy) Hoffman of Oxford and Julie Hoffman of Portage; four grandsonsMathew Dickmann (Amy), Lucas Dickmann, Stephen Dickmann, and Connor Dickmann; one step-grandsonEric Hoffman; one step-granddaughterLaurana Hoffman; two great grandsonsJesse Dickmann and Logan Dickmann; her brother Eugene (Donna) Marquardt of Plymouth; her sister Sherral Paape of Saukville; 14 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Neil Marquardt and Robert Marquardt, and her grandson Michael Dickmann. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date.
