Janice C. Walters, 78, of Campbellsport, passed away Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at Ivy Manor Assisted Living Center in Campbellsport. She was born in Green Bay on October 16, 1935, the daughter of the late Anton and Emerence (nee LeGrave) Jenquin. Jan was a graduate of UW-Stout with a teaching degree in home economics. She did substitute teaching in the Racine area. On June 14, 1958 Jan married Neil R. Walters at St. John's Church in Seymour. Jan owned and operated Walters Floral and Gift in Campbellsport and also worked at the Campbellsport Post Office. She was a member of the Campbellsport Chamber of Commerce, the Campbellsport Women's Club, the Book Club, and she was an active participant in the Fond du Lac Community Orchestra. Jan was one of the founding members of the Campbellsport American Legion Post 222 Auxiliary and continued as a member. She enjoyed square dancing and loved camping at Legend Lake. Survivors include her sons; Neil Jr., (Janilee) of Kewaskum, Nicholas (Michelle) of Kewaskum and Jason of northern Wisconsin, her daughters; Janice (Brian) Ott of Theresa, Denise (Ray) Behnke of Campbellsport and Jessica (Dennis) Petri of Knowles, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her sisters Michelle (Michael) Horner of Franksville and Phronsie (Roman) Predrijevac of Prescott Valley, AZ, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil, on April 29, 1987, her grandson, Jeffrey, her brother, Anthony, and her sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Hal Farrey. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Wed. Nov. 27th at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and inurnment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Tues. Nov. 26th from 4 to 7PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and on Wed. Nov. 27th from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew School Scholarship Fund.
