Lila Mae Gudex, 78, of Campbellsport passed away on Monday Dec. 9, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. She was born in Lamowneir, WI on Jan. 18, 1935 the daughter of Lester and Luella (nee Krause) Wolfgram. On Jan. 23, 1954, Lila married Harold W. Gudex in Mauston. They farmed together in the Town of Eden and Lila also worked at Pick's Mfg. and the Eden Canning Factory. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lomira and the Ladies Aid. Lila was an avid bird watcher, gardener, and a voracious reader. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, making embroidered dish towels for many family members. Lila also enjoyed writing, sending a written letter to a family member almost every day, cooking and baking especially her famous bread. Survivors include her husband Harold, her children Mark Gudex of Campbellsport, Daniel (Karen) Gudex of Fond du Lac, Timothy Gudex of Campbellsport, Carolyn (Kenneth) Weber of Plymouth, Martha (Don) Hardy of Eau Claire, Margaret (Julius) Van de Pas of Highlands Ranch, CO, Benjamin (Megan) Gudex of Fond du Lac, and Elizabeth (Scott) Fleischhacker of West Bend, her grandchildren Nicholas, AngeLea, Nathan, Kayla, Samuel, Lucas, Grace, Thomas, Isabella, Aidan, and Gwen, her sisters Lucille Wolfgram of Mauston, and Sandra Stock of Newton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew, her brother Lucius and her sister Audrey. Funeral services will be held on Friday Dec. 13th at 1:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 550 Water St. Lomira. Rev. Dan Schmidt will officiate with burial in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation will be Friday Dec. 13th from 10:00 AM until time of services at St. John's Lutheran Church.
