Sandra Mae Hatfield, 68, of Fond du Lac passed away Sat. Dec. 21, 2013 at Manor Care in Fond du Lac. She was born on May 19, 1945 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Elmer H. and Ila M (nee Keys) Seibel. Sandra was a 1963 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy and after high school she worked as a CNA at St. Agnes Hospital. On October 14, 1967 she married David Hatfield, USN, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. After David's death, Sandra returned to Fond du Lac and completed her LPN and RN degrees from Moraine Park and worked at St. Agnes Hospital for many years. Sandra was an accomplished equestrian involved with the American Saddle Bred Assoc. She was a history buff, very well read, and enjoyed travels all over the world. Sandra will be remembered for her infectious laugh. Survivors include her sister Carolyn (James) Pierquet of Fond du Lac, her nephew Michael (Nicole) Pierquet of Fond du Lac and their children Claire, Noah, and Amelia, her niece Jennifer Pierquet of St. Paul, MN, other relatives and friends. Along with her husband David and her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by an infant sister Mary. Visitation was Thurs. Dec. 26, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Forest (W2090 Hwy 23, Mt. Calvary) from 5:00 PM until a memorial service for family and friends at 6:30 PM with Rev. Mark Barenz officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Forest Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are appreciated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
