Sister Maristella Wagner, SSSF, 97, passed away Monday Dec. 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born Sept. 1, 1916 in Creighton, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Matthias and Clara (nee Storz) Wagner. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1934 and professed her vows on Aug. 19, 1936. Sister served her community as a teacher and administrator at various community missions. Sister Maristella is survived by her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 79 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Mon. Jan. 6th, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Mon.
