Oliver John Wolf 9/25/1911 Oliver J. Wolf, 102 of Lomira Wisc., went home peacefully to his Savior and his wife on January 8th, 2014. Oliver was born on September 25th, 1911 in Lomira, the son of the late John and Minnie (Jagow) Wolf. He attended Lomira schools growing up, where he played baseball and basketball. He was scouted by the White Sox and the Cardinals in his high school days, but didn't play for either as games were held on Sunday and that is the Lord's Day. After high school he went to Fountain City Business College where he continued playing basketball. On May 7th, 1936 at Salem Evangelical Church he was united in marriage to Ruthella L. Beck. In 1945 they were blessed with their son Tucker (Dwayne Oliver). He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira where he held nearly every office in the church at one time or another. He served as a youth Sunday School teacher for over 39 years. Oliver spent his entire life helping his family and others. Over the years he could be seen blowing snow on Main Street with nothing more than a shirt on or driving up Main Street on his cub tractor.
