Sister Bernardus Volpp, SSSF, 95, passed away on Sat. Feb. 8, 2014 at the Terrace of St. Francis Nursing Home in Milwaukee. She was born on Sept. 3, 1918 in Bloomfield, NE the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (nee Steffen) Volpp. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. francis on June 13, 1941 and professed her vows on June 21, 1943. Sister Bernardus served her community as a teacher and principal at various community missions Sister Bernardus is survived by her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 73 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thur. Feb. 13th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Thur. Feb. 13th at St. Joseph Convent.
