Erna E. Roll, 98, of Lakeview Estates went to her heavenly home on Sun. Feb, 16, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on Jan. 8, 1916 the daughter of the late Jacob and Marie Koch Stahla. She graduated in 1934 from Fond du Lac Senior High School. She attended Winnebago Lutheran Academy for two years. On August 24, 1940 she married Louis Roll. They moved to Chicago in June of 1942 and lived there until 1987. She worked for Illinois Bell for 43 years. Erna has seen the world with Illinois Bell's Getaway Program. She has been to Europe 4 times, the Orient, the South Pacific, the Phillipines, the Canary Islands, Canadian Rockies, Australia, 3 Caribbean cruises and a cruise to Alaska. Survivors include her twin brother Albert Stahla of Chicago, IL, two grandsons: Marcus Teague of Denver, CO and Christopher Knaga of Wisconsin Dells, one great granddaughter Alyssa Knaga of Wisconsin Dells, one step grandson Steve Hall of Oak Park, IL nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Erna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis in 1992, her daughter Mary Beth( Clarence) Teague, one grandson Travis Teague, two sisters: Mary Stahla and Betty Lunning, and one brother Walter(Mary Jean) Stahla. Funeral Services will be Sat. April 12th at 12:30 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 1600 S. Main St in Fond du Lac. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sat. April 12, 2014 from 12PM until 12:30 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Hospice Home of Hope appreciated.
