Mabel A. Haack, age 96, went to her heavenly home on Wed. Feb. 19, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born May 7, 1917 in Fredonia the daughter of the late Ernest and Hulda Kirchofer Bretschneider. She married Hilbert Haack on July 7, 1935 at St. John's Lutheran parsonage in New Fane by Rev. Carl Gutehunst. Mabel loved cooking, baking and fishing with her family. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oakfield, Survivors include her two sons: Delbert (Delores) and Harold (Karen) Haack all of Fond du Lac, 8 grandchildren: Dean (Bonnie) Haack of Greenville, Debra (Kevin) Kirsch of Elkhart Lake, David Haack of Green Bay, Timothy Haack of Fond du Lac, Jennifer Jaku of Fond du Lac, Brian (Jackie) Haack of Fond du Lac, Keith (Jenny) Haack of Menasha, and Lynn (Jason) Baumann of Fond du Lac, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, special friend Elizabeth Stoppelworth, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hilbert (Oct. 14, 2001), 3 sisters: Melinda (Milton) Zautcke, Leona (Oscar) Klemp and Helen (Erwin) Trapp, brothers-in-law: Arnold, Raymond, and Edmund Haack, sisters-in-law: Malinda Hoffman and Golda Brainard. Funeral services will be Sat. Feb. 22, 2014 at 12PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 245 S. 2nd Street Oakfield with Rev. Chris Goelzer officiating and burial will be at a later date at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday Feb. 22nd at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or the Hospice Home of Hope.
