John Edgar Ford

John E. Ford, 62, of Campbellsport passed away Sat., March 1, 2014 at his home. He was born on May 6, 1951 in Milwaukee, the son of James H. and Thelma A. (nee Dees) Ford. On Dec. 20, 1974 John married Monica G. Sasse at St. John's Wedding Chapel in Milwaukee. John worked at Chrysler Outboard in Hartford from 1971-79, for Jim Pafantz from 1979-86, and then at the Kohler Company until retiring in 2009. He served as union steward at Kohler for 17 years. John served on the board of directors of the Dundee Mill Park and was a member of the Dundee Sportsman Club, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Beechwood Sportsman Club and the Campbellsport Sportsman Club. John enjoyed snowmobiling, trap shooting, hunting, playing bingo and especially golfing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family or friends. Survivors include his wife Monica, his children Theresa Ford, Sheri (Quinn) Laidler, and Bruce (Kelly) Ford, his step children Chuck (Julie) Stammler, Toni Stammler, Linda Jansen, and Chris Stammler, his grandchildren Grant, Garret, Frank, Margaret, Gina, Tara, Chance, Cole, Faith Hailey, R'iell, Amy, Jude, and five great grandchildren, his brothers Roy (Nancy) Ford, and Rick (Chris) Ford, his sister Thelma Ann (James) Hammes, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Amber, a grandson James, and two brothers James Ford, Jr. and Quinton "Bud" Ford. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4th at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport with Rev. Neil Zinthefer officiating.
