March 24, 1925 — March 28, 2014

Thomas J. Secor, 89, of Fond du Lac, currently a resident of All About Life Nursing Home died Friday March 28, 2014 at the home. Tom was born in Fond du Lac on Mar. 24, 1925 the son of John and Mae (nee Carty) Secor. Tom graduated from Fond du Lac High School. He was employed as a mechanic at several local garages and lastly as a mechanic for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Tom was a veteran of World War II in the US Navy serving our country from Dec. 1942 through April 1946. He was a current member of Holy Family Parish, a former member of St. Patrick's Church, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom's disability (Stroke 34 years ago) did not affect his sense of humor, his ability to make people laugh and always put a smile on everyone's face. It was very important to Tom to see other residents smile when their lives were difficult or just having a bad day. He had a positive impact on many residents and the staff at All About Life. He will be remembered for this and the beep of his horn on his wheelchair. Survivors include his wife Patricia Jeanne (nee Reilly, Ristau) Secor, his son Thomas (Linda) Secor of Green Bay and their children Jamie (Rob) Hoch of Oneida, Andrew (Rebecca) Secor of Pleasant Prairie, and Ryan Secor of Glen Elle, IL, great grandchildren Theodore "TJ", Dayton, Addison, Natalee and Halee, his step children Debra Ristau of Des Moines, IA, Mark Ristau of Denver, CO and Kevin Ristau of Fond du Lac, his step grandchildren Katherine Jeanne Ristau-Estes of Chicago, IL, Nicole Ristau of Denver, CO and Mark Ristau of Denver, CO, his step great grandchildren Caleb, Camryn and Cadence Lucero of Denver, CO, his sister Patricia Ann Sawyer of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
