Roland W. Schultz, age 94, died peacefully at his Fond du Lac home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born on February 19, 1920, in Brownsville, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Johanna (Fellwock) Schultz. He attended school in Brownsville. The family moved to a farm north of Rosendale in 1933. He graduated from Rosendale High School in 1938. He then attended Dodge Radio Institute in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran serving from March 1941 to April 1946. He saw duty in Alaska, Greenland, and the continental U.S. On June 8, 1946, Roland Schultz and Mary Ann Parr were united in marriage, a marriage that would last almost 68 years. He worked as a heating and air conditioning technician, first for Born Sheet Metal, then self employed. In earlier years, Roland and Mary Ann were members of First Presbyterian Church. In recent years, they have been members of South Shore Evangelical Free Church. Roland truly loved his family and will be missed by all. Roland is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and son, Steven, of Fond du Lac, son John (wife Kimberley) Schultz of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, son Thomas Schultz of Kansas City, Missouri, and grandchildren Jason Disbrow, Katy (husband Josh) Taylor, Richard, Victoria, and Penny Schultz, plus great-grandchild Wyatt Taylor. He is also survived by sister-in-law Mary Schultz of Fond du Lac, and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Josephine (husband Howard) Fellwock, Hilbert, Martin, and Victor (and Victor's infant twin Regina) Schultz. Also preceding him was daughter-in-law Erlinda Schultz. Funeral service will be Friday May 16th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac with Pastor Don Buege officiating with entombment at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thurs. May 15th from 4:00 PM until 7:00PM and on Friday May 16th from 1PM until 2 PM. Memorials appreciated.
