Santa Tina Friedel, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on January 28, 1927, the daughter of Benedetto and Rose Curcuru. She married Weldon "Bud" Friedel on May 28, 1949 at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1997. Tina is survived by two sons: Mario (Sherry) of Ladysmith, David of New Orleans, LA, one daughter, Nicolette Friedel of North Fond du Lac, one brother Salvatore (Irene) Curcurio of Fond du Lac, a sister Pietrina (Hal) Trescott of Cedarburg, 8 grandchildren: Salvatore Friedel of Stevens Point, Elliott (Jenny) Friedel of Plymouth, Kory (Lisa) Friedel of Fond du Lac, Amber (Keith Schneider) of North Fond du Lac, Stephanie (Richard) Jorgensen of Fond du Lac, Marly Friedel of North Fond du Lac, Vincent and Maria Friedel of Ladysmith, 10 great-grandchildren Cameron, Gabrielle, Alexis, Jaden, Sophia, Farrah, Hunter, Elise, Avalyn and Fina, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Russell (Katie) Curcurio and twin great-granddaughters Jasmine and Ariah. A private family gathering was held on July 8, 2014 in her memory. Twohig Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
