James Michael Skomski

June 27, 1973 — August 8, 2014

James Michael "Chopper Jim" Skomski, 41 of Kewakum passed away Friday Aug. 8, 2014 as a result of injuries from a motorcycle-deer accident in the Town of Osceola. He was born on June 27, 1973 in Menomonee Falls, the son of James J. and Annie K. (nee Kondziella) Skomski. Jim served in the U. S. Marines from 1991 to 1996. He was an ironworker for Local Union 8 and also operated Jim's Cycle & Machine. Jim built custom motorcycles, many unique choppers, and did custom metal working. He was a member of the Ozaukee Guzzlers Motorcycle Club, former member of the Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Club and a member of the Kewaskum Sno-Chiefs. Jim remodeled his home doing all the work himself. He was a great outdoorsman enjoying hunting, 4-wheeling and vintage snowmobiling. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his uncles. Survivors include the love of his life Becky Lynn Blankenheim, his father James J. (Arlene) Skomski, his sisters Tina (Terry) Mielke and Tanya (Rob) Madalinski, his nieces and nephews Cassidy and Robbi Madalinski and Ashlee and Bradley Mielke, his step brother and sisters Tom (Marcia) Nagel, Sandie (Timothy) Wilz, Sue (Scott) Seefeldt, Cindy (Lee Jay) Huebner and Wendy (Pat) McDonald, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug. 15th at 6:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport with military services to follow. Cremation will follow the services Visitation will be Friday 15th from 1:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Breast Cancer Research.
