Thomas R. "Tommy" Goebel, age 63 went to his heavenly home on Sun. Aug. 10, 2014 at home. He was born Nov. 20, 1950 in Fond du Lac the son of the late Robert and Leona Wettstein Goebel. He married Beverly A Immel on Nov. 27, 1971 at Faith Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Empire Threshing Association. He loved British and Harley Davidson motorcycles and drag racing on the NHRA circuit. He was a car enthusiast especially mustangs. Tommy was an outdoorsman, an avid trapper and hunter. He was known for his mechanical ability to fix motorcycles, tractors, cars, small machinery and implements. He liked to take his Kawasaki Mule rides with his beloved pet "Puppy". Survivors include his wife Beverly, two daughters: Traci (Lance) Luft and Lisa (fiancée John Klotzbuecher) Goebel both of Oshkosh, two brothers: Francis (Pat) Goebel and Richard (Nancy) Goebel both of Eden, four brother-in-laws: Butch (Laura) Immel, Kevin (Kerry) Immel, Ricky and Ronnie Immel, two sister-in-laws: Karen (Gaylon) Sipple and Debbie (John) Waterworth, nieces, nephews: Ron (Kris) Goebel, Scott (Tricia) Goebel, Angie Benike, Amy (Kelly) Thomas, Gary (Julie) Goebel, Nicole (Doug) Melaas, Krista Novotny, Courtney Immel, Travis (Brandy) Sipple, Melissa (Dan) Ginn, Tiffany, Tyler, Trevor, Travis, Trista and Trenton Immel, Amanda (Flint) Grahl and Sarah Immel and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother David. Visitation will be on Friday August 15th from 11:00 AM until 1PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac with a short service at 1PM. Memorials are appreciated.
