Curtis Allen Albrecht

September 11, 1984 — June 28, 2015

Curtis A. Albrecht, 30, of Fond du Lac died on Sunday June 28, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Sept 11, 1984, the son of Paul and Beverly Smith Albrecht. He grew up in the Markesan area and attended Faith Lutheran School through the 8th grade. He attended Markesan High School and graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School in Eau Claire. After High School, Curt attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. He worked at a variety of jobs. Most recently he worked for the CN Railroad for the past year as a signal and switch maintainer. Curt was passionate about life. He was always willing to help, he loved to run marathons, body build and cut wood. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved to debate and discuss politics, theology and genuinely cared about everyone. His faith in Christ, his Savior was constant. Those left behind to cherish his memory: the love of his life Erica Doubek of Stevens Point, his father Paul (Valerie) Albrecht of Ripon and his mother Beverly Albrecht of Mauston, his siblings: Bridget (Nick) Brevik of Lincoln, NE, Kimberly (Joshua) Grinnell of Fond du Lac and Peter (Lisa) Albrecht of Campbellsport, Maternal Grandparents Ron and Pat Smith of Waupun, 2 nephews: Vance Roemer and Ryan Brevik and 3 nieces: Keira Brevik, Tesslee Grinnell and Alyssa Flitter, aunts, uncles: Lisa (Lynn) Dumke of Kingston, Holly (Larry) Youngerberg of Caledonia, MN, James (Jolene) Albrecht of Okabena, MN, Linda (Jim) Kayzer of Ogema, Tony (Elizabeth) Smith of Whitelaw and Liz Busch-Gay of Waupun. Curt had an extended family of his surrogate parents: Tony (Kathy) Bernath of Ripon, Leo Goebel and Karen Baumhardt of Eden and Jim (Beverly) Stamm of Green Lake, best friend Todd (Lisa) Raymond of Castle Rock, step-brothers Jamie, Blake and Eddie Roemer, adopted sisters the Wachholz Girls: Carissa Ewald, Alyssa Nelson and Melissa Wachholz, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Curt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rev. Egbert and Lois Albrecht and two uncles Steven Albrecht and Mark Gay. Memorial Services will be Wed. July 1st at 7:00 PM at Luther Memorial Church at 134 21st Street, Fond du Lac with the Rev. Neal Radichel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the church. Memorials appreciated to Luther Memorial Church.
