Hazel A. (Luedtke) Krug, 91, of Janesville, WI, passed away at the home of her daughter in Janesville, on Thursday, July 23, from acute myeloid leukemia. Hazel was born June 10, 1924, in Fond du Lac, WI, to Albert and Anna (Kutz) Luedtke. She attended St Peter's Lutheran Elementary School and was confirmed on April 10, 1938. She graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 1942. On June 10, 1945, she married Edgar Krug at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, WI. Most recently they were members of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Janesville. Edgar and Hazel farmed for many years in the Town of Forest and later managed the Arizona Lutheran Retirement Center in Phoenix, AZ. Hazel is survived by her husband, Edgar, of Janesville, daughter Marilyn (Marvin-deceased) Wagner of Fond du Lac, son Gary (Lenore) Krug of San Diego, CA, and daughter Kate (Charlie) Carlson of Janesville. Grandchildren include Paul (Tricia) Wagner, Karen (Scott) Kolkema, Matt (Anne) Krug, Rachel (Kevin) Wilshusen, Rebekah (Marcos) Dominguez, Alexander Carlson, Eric (Brianna) Carlson, and Cassie Carlson. Surviving great-grandchildren are Max and Jada Wagner, Pacey and Owen Kolkema, Elise Krug, Brett and Adam Wilshusen, Gabriel and Diego Dominguez, Maison Carlson, and Declan Carlson (due in September). Surviving also is beloved sister-in-law, Isabelle Krug. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Marvin Wagner, sisters Glen (Arnold) Dankert, Louise (Norm) Wightman, Nelda (Eugene) Seeley, and Helen Luedtke; brother-in-law, Carlton Krug, and sister-in-law, Evelyn (Bill) Kramer. Services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, W2090 County Rd W, Mt Calvary, WI on Wed. July 29th. Viewing will be at 2:00 pm at the church and the service at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at Town of Forest Cemetery. The family is being assisted by Twohig Funeral Home of Fond du Lac. Memorials are welcome and may be given in Hazel's name to Winnebago Lutheran Academy of Fond du Lac, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Janesville, or Mercy Hospice Care of Janesville.
