Robert "Bob" F. Hughes, 67, of Fond du Lac passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1948 in Sheboygan, WI the son of Thomas and Constance Crohgan Hughes. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1966. He married Kathryn Fellenz on Nov. 4, 1972 at St. Matthias Catholic Church in the town of Auburn. Robert worked for 34 years at Alliant Energy, he retired in 2007. Bob was a member of Holy Family, he served as an usher at St. Joseph's parish and was a mass and communion server for Holy Family. He was a Knights of Columbus member and a Hospice Volunteer at the Hospice Home of Hope for 10 years. Bob coached Boys baseball from 1984 until 1994 and enjoyed hiking with his children in the Kettle Moraine. Bob enjoyed golfing, reading, sports, vintage cars and listening to old time radio shows. . Survivors include his wife Kathryn, two sons: John (Kathy) Hughes of Random Lake and Andy (Amy) Hughes of Fond du Lac, his daughter Shannon (Dan) O'Reilly of Seneca, S.C., four grandchildren: Hannah and Logan Hughes, Cameron and Caitlin O'Reilly, one sister Patty (Lowell) Wynveen of Cascade and three brothers: Michael (Janet) Hughes, Tim (Sheryl) Hughes and Dennis (Dianne) Hughes all of Plymouth, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday October 9, 2015 at Holy Family-Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac with Visitation at Sacred Heart from 4 PM until 5:45 PM with Mass to follow. A Memorial has been established to Fr. Max Tzul's "Missionary Fraternity of Mary" in Guatemala.
