Florence Julia Grahl

April 26, 1938 — November 2, 2015

Florence J. Grahl, 77, of Eden went to her Heavenly home on Monday, November 2, 2015 at her home with her beloved family at her side after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 26, 1938 in Dotyville the daughter of Casper C. and Rose A. Mullenbach Schaefer. On September 24, 1960, Florence married Marvin A. Grahl at St. Joseph's in Fond du Lac. She worked at Mercury Marine, HT Enterprises and at the Action Advertiser before retiring. Florence was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic parish and now Shepherd of the Hills. She was the #1 fan at her grandchildren's activities, treasured hosting the holidays at her home and enjoyed her daily walks in the Garden of Eden. Those left behind include her husband Marv, her children Greg (Anne) Grahl of Oshkosh, Gina (Tom) Mueller of Campbellsport, Gary (Jeanna) Grahl of Sturgeon Bay and Rick (Denise) Grahl of Fond du Lac, her grandchildren Nick, Meg and Mason Grahl, Dan (Kim) and Mike Mueller, Sarah (John) Polkowski, Abby (Isaac) Brown, Moriah and Brant Grahl, and Hannah, Allison and Dawson Grahl, and her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Griffin Mueller. She is further survived by her siblings, Jerome (Thelma) Schaefer of St. Cloud, Wally Schaefer of Fond du Lac, Bernard (Irene) Schaefer of Richfield, Marion (Don) Payant of Childersburg, AL, Don (Kathy) Schaefer of Oconomowoc, Gerald (Vicky) Schaefer of Greensboro, GA, and Harold Schaefer of Manawa, WI, her sister-in-law Connie Keyes of Fond du Lac, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Alice (Rueben) Krebsbach and LaVerne (Alfonse) Braun, a brother, Herbert Schaefer and three sisters-in-law, Joan, Mary Jane and Thelma. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday November 7th at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Hwy B Eden. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate with entombment at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac to follow. Visitation will be Friday November 6th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac and on Saturday November 7th at the church from 9:00 until 10:45 AM. Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope or Shepherd of the Hills Parish.
