Edgar W. Krug

?Edgar W. Krug, 92, of Janesville, WI, passed away Monday February 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Janesville. Edgar was born May 25, 1923 in the Town of Empire, the son of Otto and Amanda (Seibel) Krug.   On June 10, 1945, he married Hazel A. Luedtke at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, WI.  Most recently they were members of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Janesville.  Edgar and Hazel farmed for many years in the Town of Forest and later managed the Arizona Lutheran Retirement Center in Phoenix, AZ.

Edgar is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Marvin-deceased) Wagner of Fond du Lac, son Gary (Lenore) Krug of San Diego, CA, and daughter Kate (Charlie) Carlson of Janesville.  Grandchildren include Paul (Tricia) Wagner, Karen (Scott) Kolkema, Matt (Anne) Krug, Rachel (Kevin) Wilshusen, Rebekah (Marcos) Dominguez, Alexander Carlson, Eric (Brianna) Carlson, and Cassie Carlson. Surviving great-grandchildren are Max and Jada Wagner, Pacey and Owen Kolkema, Elise Krug, Baby Girl Krug (due in March), Brett and Adam Wilshusen, Gabriel and Diego Dominguez, Maison and Declan Carlson.  Surviving also is beloved sister-in-law, Isabelle Krug of Fond du Lac.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hazel on July 23, 2015, son-in-law Marvin Wagner, brother Carlton Krug, sister Evelyn (Bill) Kramer and sisters-in-law Glen (Arnold) Dankert, Louise (Norm) Wightman, Nelda (Eugene) Seeley, and Helen Luedtke.

Services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, W2090 County Rd W, Mt. Calvary, WI on Monday February 22nd. Viewing will be at 9:30 AM at the church and the service at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be at Town of Forest Cemetery. Memorials are welcome and may be given in Edgar’s name to Winnebago Lutheran Academy of Fond du Lac, St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church of Janesville, or Forest Athletic Club.
