Roman Dennis Schekirke

Roman Schekirke passed away on Wed. May 18, 2016 at the age of 81 at Cedar Community in West Bend after a battle with cancer.

He was born on March 14, 1935 in Waupun to Lucy Schekirke. He worked at the Gehl Company in West Bend for many years retiring in 2000. Roman proudly served his country in the United States Army, 3 rd Infantry Division. He enjoyed sketching, photography, spending time with his children and grandchildren and had a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

Roman is survived by his daughter Gale (Brian) Jungers, his son Brad (Sara) Schekirke, his grandchildren Ashtyn, Lucy and James, his brother Daniel (Pat) Schekirke, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Roman in death was his mother Lucy Schekirke in 1980 and his son Ross Schekirke in 2010.

A private family service will be held Mon. May 23rd at Twohig Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, Campbellsport, with Rev. Neil Zinthefer officiating. Burial of Roman’s cremains will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery in Campbellsport
