Alice Elaine Raether

Alice E. Raether, 83, of Dundee went to her heavenly home on Sat. June 11, 2016 at All About Life Rehab Center in Fond du Lac.   She was born on July 29, 1932 in the Town of Osceola, the daughter of Lloyd and Florence Foy Dyer. On March 1, 1949, Alice married Fredrick J. Raether at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hill Catholic Parish. In her younger years she enjoyed snowmobiling and after Fritz retired they traveled to many parts of the United States and Canada. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Alice will be dearly missed.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband Fritz, her children Bev (Dave) Murphy of Cascade, Jim (Joan) Raether of Beaver Dam, Jerry (Karen) Raether of Campbellsport and Barb (Tom) Spartz of Lomira, her grandchildren Glenn Anderson, Janine O’Brien, Mike Fell, Becky (Dan) Brehmer, Megan (Erik) Schuessler and Noah (fiancée Anne) Raether, her great grandchildren Colton O’Brien and Rhett Schuessler, her sisters-in-law Gertrude Backhaus of West Bend, Joyce (Delmar) Wendegatz of West Bend, Donna (Miles) Wilson of Cecil and Betty Raether of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Jacob and Marie Raether and her brothers-in-law Ralph Raether, Lester (Ruth) Raether and Arthur Backhaus.

Visitation will be held on Thur. June 16th from 3:00 PM until time of mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thur. June 16th at 6:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church. Rev. John Radetski will officiate and burial will be Fri.
