David D. Spencer

David D. Spencer, 78, of Santa Fe, NM died Tues. Aug, 9, 2016 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah as the result of an airplane crash in Fond du Lac, WI.  He was born on November 15, 1937 in Partridge, Kentucky the son of Karl and Lily White Spencer.  David served his country in the Air Force from 1959 until 1981 for 22 years and retired as a captain.  He married Teresa Montano on May 27, 1959 in Tachikawa A.F.B. in Japan.  He was the President/Owner of All States Equipment since 1981.  Eleven years ago his wife Teresa told him he needed to find a hobby.  He considered culinary school, however a friend took him up flying and he was hooked.  His passion was flying.  His priorities in life were his wife, children and grandchildren.  He loved helping people and was very kind and generous.  In the end God called him home doing what he loved most.

Survivors include his wife Teresa, one daughter Audrey Robinson of Swartz Creek, MI, two sons:  D. Dale (Cynthia) Spencer of Austin, TX and Al Spencer of Cypress, TX, five grandchildren:  Steven and Sara Spencer, Christine Stamos, John and Joel Robinson, seven great grandchildren:  Autumn, Makenna and Luke Stamos, Brooks, Marlee, Ben and Sadie Robinson, five sisters:  Freida Amos and Lena Bailey of Scottsburg, IN, Joyce Klepher of Hanover, IN, Betty McClain of Crestwood, KY, and Gladys Hensen of Milton, KY, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers:  K. Arvis, Orbin and Ronnie Spencer.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Santa Maria De La Pas Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM at 11:30 AM on Monday Sept. 12, 2016 with Rosary to begin at 10:45 AM.  Interment to follow at the National Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM with Military Honors.  Memorials appreciated to the Carmelite Sisters of Santa Fe, NM, Wounded Warrior and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.  Online condolences and guestbook at www.twohigfunerals.com .  The Twohig Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
