Evelyn Nadene Schuman

Evelyn “Evie” Schuman, 89, of Fond du Lac passed away Sunday Sept. 11, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital.  She was born in Danbury, NE on May 5, 1927 the daughter of John and Hazel (Angell) Wyckoff.  She married Robert Schuman on October 25, 1952 in Denver, CO. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Fond du Lac City Sewage Treatment plant. Evie was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a long time member of the Ladies of Good Shepherd.  She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to travel, and enjoyed breakfast at McDonald’s.  She was an excellent quilter and sewer, she had outfits and jewelry to match and was a classy lady.  She was strong-willed but generous and was excellent in recordkeeping.

Survivors include her husband Robert, three daughters:  Carol (Chris) Hammang of Loveland, CO, Deb (Bill) Kettenhofen of Rome, WI, and Cathy Larson of Marshfield, WI, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren,  nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Ave. Fond du Lac.  Rev. Brett Naumann  and Rev. Adam Zimpelmann will officiate with entombment at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Thurs.
