Norman A. Nestler, 89, formerly of Muscoda died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. He was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 5, 1927, the son of Adolf and Heleyne (Johenko) Nestler. Norman worked in insurance sales until retiring. Norman was active in the Muscoda Lions Club and was instrumental in promoting the annual canoe race in Muscoda. He enjoyed canoeing, hunting and fishing.
Norman is survived by his daughters Mary Groves of Jacksonville, FL, Linda Deede of Mesa, AZ, Ellen (Larry) Uebelher of Campbellsport, WI, Janice (Brian) Hampton of Burnham, PA and Katherine Fox of Madras, OR, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, his brother Michael (Diane) Nestler, his sister-in-law Ruth Nestler, the mother of his daughters Barbara Hacker, other relatives and friends. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandsons and his brothers Dan (Jackie) Nestler and Don Nestler.
A graveside service with Military Rites will be held Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King (N2665 County Road QQ, Waupaca).
