Rita L. Krug

Rita L.”Sues” Krug. 91, of Fond du Lac died  Dec. 3, 2016 at the Bella Vista Assisted Living in Oshkosh.  She was born on June 18, 1925 in the Town of Empire, the daughter of Robert and Frances Baganz Byrnes.   She married Kenneth Krug on May 30, 1948 in Fond du Lac.  She farmed with her husband Ken in the Town of Forest for many years and then worked for MPTC for 22 years, retiring in 2000.  She sold Avon for over 40 years.  She liked bowling, gambling and bingo.  She traveled the whole United States going to many bowling tournaments.

Survivors include two granddaughters: Tricia (Dennis) Souder of Brownsville and Tiffany (Brian) Knapp of Oshkosh and their  mother Shannon Schaefer of Brownsville, the love  of her life great grandson Aiden Richard Meidl, step granddaughter Kylin Knapp and her daughter Natalie Knapp, one brother Edward Byrnes of Fond du Lac, sister-in-law Isabel Krug of Fond du Lac, daughter-in-law Mary Krug of MD and her Best friend for 40 years Joyce Lemke and her family, nieces, nephews  and many other relatives and friends.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ken, three sons:  Tom, Ted and Tim Krug, her brothers Maurice “Butch”(Lorraine) Byrnes and Bob (Betty) Byrnes, sister-in-law Joyce Byrnes and brother-in-law  Carlton Krug.

Funeral services will be held Thursday Dec. 8, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, W2090 Hwy 23 Mt. Calvary with Rev. Mark Barenz officiating with burial at the Forest Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.  Memorials appreciated to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Heartland Hospice.  The Twohig Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online guestbook and condolences at www.twohigfunerals.com
