Joan Isabelle Becker

Joan I. Becker, 81, of Dundee passed away peacefully on Sunday February 26th, 2017, at her home. She was born in Dundee on the Brown Family Homestead on June 5, 1935, the daughter of Clem and Frances (Flitter) Brown.  On Nov. 30, 1957, Joan married Richard D. Becker at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Armstrong. Joan worked at Regalware in Kewaskum for a short time.  She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Parish.  She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and was a very good cook.  Joan was proud of her Irish heritage and her family and took great enjoyment in spending time with her family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children John Becker, Joe (Liz) Becker and Jessica (Raul) Becker, her daughter-in-law Maureen Becker, her grandchildren Brent Becker, Elizabeth Becker, Meghan Pearson, Jake Becker, Alex Becker, Antonio Kumbalek, Justin Dreikosen and Cameron Mikutis, her brothers Bernard (Barb) Brown, Leo Brown and David Brown, her brothers-in-law Michael Lavey, David (Kathy) Becker and Mike (Kay) Becker, her sister-in-law Marilyn Brown, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick on April 27, 2010, her son Jim on Feb. 8, 2017, her sister Monica Lavey and her sisters-in-law Carol, Dolly and Margo.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 4th at 10:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hill Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and inurnment at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dundee.

According to Joan’s wishes there will be no visitation but a gathering will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills School.
