Albert Stahla

Albert Stahla, 102, of Chicago died May 19, 2018 at Norwood Crossing in Chicago, where he had been a resident for the past 8 years.  He was born in Fond du Lac, WI on January 8, 1916, the son of Jacob Stahla and Mary Koch Stahla.  Albert married Marie Bender, also of Fond du Lac, on May 6, 1939. After marrying, they moved to Chicago, where he lived until his death.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army & served in Germany during WWII.

He was employed as a machinist at Foote Bros, now Dresser Industries, in Chicago for 45 years.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Bonnie Clifford of Chicago and Ann (Victor) Gerardi of Bloomingdale, IL.

He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside inurnment services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2016 at Estabrooks Cemetery at 1PM. Rev. Matthew Guse will officiate and Military Honors will follow by Fond du Lac American Legion Post #75.
