January 30, 1932 — October 12, 2018

Allen August Koch, 86, of Campbellsport, WI., passed away on October 12, 2018 surrounded by family in the same house that he was born in.

He was born January 30, 1932 in Campbellsport, the son of William and Meta Koch (nee Belling). After attending a one room schoolhouse, he graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1950.

Allen served his country in the Korean War in the 65th Infantry Regiment. He returned to Korea fifty years later, and also flew to Washington DC on the Honor Flight.

He married Janet R. Glock on July 27, 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. He had dual careers as a farmer and electrician for over 30 years. His lifelong passion for aviation resulted in the never-ending construction of a plane, and inspired several new pilots. He loved to fish.

Allen is survived by his wife, Janet; five children, Maureen Koch, Russell (Terri) Koch, Colleen Haas, Douglas (Heather) Koch, and Jonathan Koch; three grandchildren, Amelia, Jillian, and Bonnie; and one sister, Elaine Blasing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roger.
