Mary Hoffmann

Mary Katherine Hoffmann, 65, of Fond du Lac, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on December 10, 1952, the third of five daughters, to the late Arthur G. Hoffmann and Marcella “Sally” Williams (nee Reilly) in San Rafael, California. Mary graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School, class of 1971. She was known as “Tex” since the family moved to Fond du Lac from San Angelo, Texas in 1967.

Mary worked at St. Agnes Hospital for 30 years, mostly in Central Distribution. Later as the supervisor of that department. Mary retired from Pick N’ Save on West Johnson where she worked in the meat department. Mary saw many friends and family daily while working at the store.

Mary loved the Dallas Cowboys; her license plates even said Dallas Cowboys. She was an avid reader and liked to crochet.

Mary especially loved her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She loved spending time with them. Thanksgiving was always fun at Aunt Mary’s house.

Those Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory include her four sisters, Sue (Dave) Reilly, Jane (Dr. Michael) Downer, Linda Hoffmann, and Terry (Mike) Gross; and Sue’s family, Bob Reilly, Shane Reilly, Mike (Kim) Reilly, Dallas Reilly, Erik Reilly, Lisa (Jeff) Lauritzen, Addie, Aiden, Alivia Lauritzen, Chad Hills, Logan Hills, Katie (Mike) McCardle, Finn McCardle, Conor (Lydia) Reilly, and Roxy Reilly; and Terry’s family, Brad Theyerl, Michele Bogenschneider, Kyler Bogenschneider, Alexis Bogenschneider, and Kevin Gross. Mary is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service in remembrance of Mary will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eden. Mary’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
