Sandra Habeck Schmidlkofer

Sandra D. Habeck Schmidlkofer, 66, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.

Sandy was born in Fond du Lac on March 23, 1952, the daughter of the late Lorraine and David (Weigel) Habeck. In 1970, Sandy graduated from Goodrich High School. She married Tom Schmidlkofer on June 25, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Sandy was a Manager of Food Service at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections; first at Green Bay then later at Oshkosh where she eventually retired. Sandy loved flowers, gardening, and going to Brewer games.

Sandy leaves behind her husband, Tom Schmidlkofer; two sisters, Donna (Bill) Freyer of New Troy, MI, and Sharon Habeck of Madison, WI. She is further survived by many cousins and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Habeck, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service in remembrance of Sandy will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 N Eagle St, Oshkosh, WI 54902 . The Rev. John Seelman will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935 and on Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service.

A private burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in the Town of Forest, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Sandy’s family would like to thank all of her friends, especially Sharon Johannes, for all their help during Sandy’s battle with cancer.
